Key Highlights of Interim Budget-2019

Direct Taxes: 1. Proposed to increase income tax exception limit to Rs 5 lakh.
2. No changes in the Income-tax slabs.
3. Housing loan +Education loan +Medicalim +NPS in addition to Rs. 5 lakhs
4. Government has made filing returns easier.
5. Assessment and verification of IT returns will be done electronically.
6. No TDS on house rent up to Rs 2.4 lakh,Earlier Rs.1.80
7. Standard deduction increased to Rs 50,000 from Rs 40,000.
8. TDS threshold on interest on bank and post office deposits raised from 10,000 to 40,000 rupees.
9. There will be no tax on notional rent on second self-occupied house
10.Sec 80IBA being extended for one more year, for all housing projects approved till end of 2019-20.
11.Gratuity payment limit has been increased from 10 lakh to 20 lakh," he says.
12.Capital tax Benefit u/s 54 has increased from investment in one residential house to two residential houses once in a life time
13.To promote CROSS BORDER TRADE we have rationalized custom duty in 35 goods. Indian customs is introducing FULL DIGITIZATION."

GST(Indirect Taxes):
1. GST rates simplified
2. GST Registration exemption limit 20 lakhs to 40 lakhs
3. Service provider and Real estate agents are includes under Composition dealer w.e.f. 1st April,2019
4. Composition scheme for Service provider upto Rs. 50 lakhs only 6 % GST, Manufacture and trader @ 1%
5. Threshold limit of composition dealer is increase from 1 to 1.5 CR.
6. Upto Rs 1.5 cr. only quarterly return
Others:
1. State share has increased to 42%
2. PCA restriction has abolished from 3 major banks
3. 2 lakhs seats will increase for the reservation of 10%
4. 60000 crores for manrega
5. 1.7 Lakh crore to ensure food for all
6. 22nd AIIMS has to be opened in Haryana
7. Approval has to be given to PM Kisan Yojana
8. Rs. 6000 per annum has to be given to every farmer having upto 2 hectare land. Applicable from Sept 2018. Amount will be transferred in 3 installments
9. National kamdhenu ayog for cows. Rs. 750 crores for National Gokul Mission
10. 2% interest subvention for farmers pursuing animal husbandry and also create separate department for fisheries.
11. 2% interest subvention for farmers affected by natural calamities and additional 3% interest subvention for timely payment.
12. Bonus will be applicable for workers earning 21000 monthly
13. The scheme, called Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan, will provide assured monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 with contribution of Rs. 100 per month for workers in unorganized sector after 60 years of age.
14. Our government delivered 6 crores free LPG connections under Ujjawala scheme
15. 2% interest relief for MSME GST registered person
16. 26 weeks of Maternity Leaves to empower the women
17. More than 3 Lakhs crores for defence
18. One lakh digital villages in next 5 years
